Former Protocol officer of Accra Hearts of Oak, Joshua Acquah has filed a writ against the Phobians and its former management member.
The writ from Acquah comes after reports of his alleged involvement in betting and match fixing during the 2017/18 season.
According to Acquah, after a sober reflection over these defamatory accusations, he decided to resign and take legal action against the club and former management member, Haruna Aziz Futah.
“This will clear my name and secure my peace of my mind. I have served the club for two decades and I feel proud and privileged to serve my club,” portions of the writ stated.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association’s Ethics Committee last Thursday invited the accused, Futah to clarify and substantiate his allegation.
However, the management of the club is yet to confirm being served the writ.
