Man,20, stabs relative to death at Koforidua
A trader identified as Kwasi Anthony has been stabbed to death by a 20- year-old man in a fight that ensued between the two in the New Juaben Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The brawl occurred when the deceased accused the suspect, Kwame Kwakye, of insulting his mother.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue while the suspect has been arrested by the New Juaben Municipal Police Command .
Starr News Eastern Regional Correspondent, Kojo Ansah reports that the deceased who lived at Koforidua- Betom went and visited his parent at Srodae in the same municipality.
However, upon reaching there, he was given a tip-off by some occupants in the house that the suspect, also a family member, has been insulting his mother.
Infuriated by the reports,the deceased confronted the suspect in his room which resulted into a fight. During the fight, the suspect is believed to have pulled a knife to stab the deceased in his left thigh.
He reportedly bled profusely and was later rushed to the Koforidua Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Station Officer at New Juaben Municipal Police Command, Chief Inspector Ebenezer Sakyi confirmed the incident to Starr News.
He said investigation is still ongoing and the suspect is being prepared for court.
